What you would teach

IGCSE Physics: Cambridge 0625/0972 and Edexcel 4PH1.
A-Level Physics: Cambridge 9702, Edexcel 9PH0 and AQA 7408, from mechanics and waves to fields and nuclear physics.
IB Physics at SL and HL, including Internal Assessment design and data analysis.

What students usually need

Physics students usually lose marks on method more than memory: free-body and circuit diagrams, derivations with correct units, and applying equations under time pressure. You should be able to teach a structured way into a problem. Many students are aiming for engineering or the physical sciences at university, and some families ask for physics and maths together.

The work

One-to-one lessons in person, at the student's home, in Dubai. There is no group or classroom teaching.
We provide transport to lessons.
You plan each student's lessons, assess their progress and give feedback to the student and their family.

What you need

Teaching or tutoring experience in the British or IB curriculum. This is required for this role.
At least 1 academic year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UAE.
A bachelor's degree (any subject).
Solid mathematical fluency, especially for HL and A-Level work.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
A UAE residence visa of your own. We do not sponsor visas for this role.
A MoHRE private tutoring permit. You do not need it to apply: it can be obtained after shortlisting.
You live in Dubai or Sharjah. All lessons are in Dubai.
