Teach Arabic one-to-one in families' homes in Dubai, part-time, on both the first-language and additional-language tracks.
Part-time
One-to-one, in-home
Transport provided
Dubai only
What you would teach
First-language Arabic (Arabic A): grammar and parsing, reading comprehension, composition and dictation, working from the school's textbook.
Additional-language Arabic (Arabic B): the script and vowel marks, handwriting, vocabulary and grammar by school topic, listening and speaking.
Students from Year 2 / Grade 1 upwards, from beginners to advanced learners.
What students usually need
Children come to Arabic from very different places. Some speak it at home and find formal grammar and writing harder than speaking, while others are starting with the alphabet. You will adapt the lesson to the child, use Modern Standard Arabic as the classroom does, and prepare your own exercises and materials.
The work
One-to-one lessons in person, at the student's home, in Dubai. There is no group or classroom teaching.
We provide transport to lessons.
You plan each student's lessons, assess their progress and give feedback to the student and their family.
Your hours
Flexible, after school: part-time, in the afternoons, evenings and weekends, agreed per student.
What you need
Excellent command of Arabic, including Modern Standard Arabic.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
A relevant qualification or teaching certificate is an advantage.

A UAE residence visa of your own. We do not sponsor visas for this role.
